Event: Joining Nature Seekers' Beach Clean Up

Date: Sunday 28th February 2010

Time: 6am - 4pm

Place: The clean up will take place at Orosco Bay, Matura (see map below).

Transport: Will be provided for CCARO by Alesha Naranjit and Alan Rajkumar Maharaj.

Cost: Free

What to Bring: Lunch, snacks, lots of water, thick gloves (if you have), a large garbage bag (if you have), any personal medication  you need (we will have a basic first aid kit), insect repellent, sun screen, raincoat/umbrella, change of clothes in case it rains.

What to wear: Anything you can be comfortable walking around on the beach is fine - remember it may be hot or rainy.  Many people go with sandals or sneakers, some of us go barefoot on the beach but the walk to the beach from the carpark is a stoney road/path. Long or short pants are fine. You may want to bring a hat and long sleeved shirt to wear over your top/ t-shirt in case it is very sunny. We will not be bathing in the sea as it is dangerous in this area so bath suits are not necessary.
