Our Mission
CCARO was created to improve our understanding and protection of cetaceans and their habitats, especially within Trinidad & Tobago and the wider Caribbean, through research, direct conservation action, collaboration and the empowerment of others.
Our Objectives
We hope to fulfill our mission by:
- Increasing knowledge and understanding of cetacean species within Trinidad and Tobago and the Wider Caribbean through humane scientific research
- Developing in people a sense of wonder and a desire to protect the natural world around them through education, awareness raising and exposure to nature and conservation.
- Developing and implement cetacean conservation strategies in accordance with research findings and in collaboration with stakeholders.
